hi folks,
due to my rubbish washers (and no, they're not frozen...) i'm going to change my pump and the jets...
is there a how to or any advice around on how to do this, especially the pump ?? also how hard is it to swap to jets ??
i've done a search and can't find a how to - just endless posts on people with frozen screenwash !!

If they are not broken why you changing them?

Try just changing the tubing mate, it'll cost you a lot less money and will probably be the cause of any clogging problems. ie. if your tubing's brown, it needs changed and won't take to long to do

if they are rubbish it may just be the jets that need changing, you should try some phase 2 washer jets for a 206, they are the mist type aswell so are better and this may solve your problem and would be an easier and cheaper option than changing the pump aswell

fair comment - in a word... they're 'weak as p*ss' - the pipework looks ok and isn't trapped anywhere...
and for the sake of £20 i'm going to change them and see how i get on...
they've been rubbish for ages... but in this weather it's kinda handy to have them at 100%

Try removing the bottle then? I think you'll need to take the wheel arch liner off and the front wheel to get it out easily. Remove the bottle and give that a thorough clean as well before putting the pump in too if you're intending on buying a new one anyway.

I too would like to know this, mine got ripped off in the crash I had, so when I get a new bonnet, I will have to re-fit some new phase 2's

the pumps easy, remove the front drivers side arch lining reach up near the bottom of the bottel and pull it out, the pipes may be absoloutely stuc on in which case snip them off, when re connecting the new one heat the ends of the piping with a lighter and force it over the ends of the pump intake and output and they will melt in place, im not sure how easy it is to trace the piping and remove it through your car but replacing the pump is easy.

my van is a phase 2 so already had the mist type jets... have ordered the same...
the reason i'm changing both is i'm not intending to change one thing only to find its another and have to wait a few more days waiting for parts to arrive... and for what the bits cost... it's no bad thing to do anyway...

Glad someone else asked this, I can't hear a motor or anything when I use my screenwash so probably going to be doing the exact same thing

check the fuse and also check that the fluid hasn't frozen fella... lots of people suffering with this atm...

i took my pump off other day.. i didnt take the arch liner off as i have front fogs, and have an access point in liner. and taking off is simple. takes a bit of force, but pull out sideways. and then u can take the pipes and the cable off after. becareful, if u have a full bottle of washer fluid. hope that helps

quick update - changed the pump today... back to full pressure... happy days !! pump was a £6 one from ebay so pretty chuffed it works (and fits!) ok...
seem to be lucky as i too had the front fog light access panel in my inner arch liner... but it's fair to say i don't have front fogs !!

Your lucky, there's plenty of 206's around with factory fitted front fogs that have no access panels in there inner arch liners
