Sad day today. Amongst the list of things that need fixing one day I have now been told my Head Gasket is gone.
Car feels like its missfiring & sometimes looses power, been loosing oil somewhere for a while - fount it today in the coolant (that might explain it heating up)!
I have a T (99) 1.4 Roland Garros & love it to bits.
Already have a list of things Ive fixed (spent money on); Alternator, Fuel Injector, Cat...
Im sure the clutch or gearbox or something there is going & need little bits like new wing mirror, rear wiper arm, alarm sensors, check strap...

Question to yall is is it worth having the Head Gasket fixed (at some £300) & keep pugging on or is it time to cut my losses & say goodbye to my baby?!

Your thoughts please...

I don't really know where to start with engine stuff. Luckly I work with a couple of old engineers (it was them who diagnosed my problem). Their going to have a look at parts & might help me fix it.
I'd like to 'give a hand' so I can learn a bit.
How much are the parts & can it really be done by me?! (have to find a how to!).

I've been told that even if I fix it the car might not be right after, is this right?
Also now there is oil in the coolant what should I do about cleaning/fixing that?

Appriciate the thoughts & help guys.
