Gonna have a play with the centre caps and see what I can do.
Possibly it's gonna be a fibreglass job ???
I think the wheels look better in the pic rather than in the flesh ???
I think a good clean and the caps might sway me.

Update as it's MOT is tomorrow
Had a little freshen up and tomorrow I'll give it a good valet.
I done some pre checks and found a few bits.
Washer jets were useless and a clean up was pointless, so a trip to the breakers and returned with some 'mist' type ones. Sorted
A quick trip to the shops and got some smd led side lights and HID look headlamps as it looked pants standard.
New tyre for the n.s.f.
New wiper blade on passenger side.
Plus all that has gone before this update.
So hopefully all is good and a pass is the result. Fingers crossed.
I'll post some pics and then the result tomorrow.

Passed it's MOT with no advisories and a few comments on how good is looks for nearly 167k on the clock.

Time to start some more freshening up.

Nice tidy its good to look back and see how it's progressed. You will need a lapbelt as well by the way, I have one spare I can send you just cover the postage

Well thats it
It's officially back on the road. Woo Hoo!!
Taxed it yesterday and new battery fully charged and fitted.
Whilst I was checking all my paperwork out I found the original receipt when I brought it, sadly I got quite excited to discover I still had it I also had a load of service and parts reciepts, totally forgot what had been done to it over the 1st few years of my ownershhip.
So the car list of car and parts goes: (thought a few might like to see it's history)
31/10/2002:
Purchase of car:- £9684.00 OTR
SP fuel cap: £34.04 fitted
SP front lower grill: £157.45 fitted
08/11/2002:
Van Aaken tuning box: £360.00 (now taken off and sold)
Eibach front springs: £80.13 fitted
Jetex panel filter: £29.50
Rear lowered by MM method: £50.00
Rolling road usage: £42.55
02/04/2003:
Cup holder (in place of ashtray): £6.99

10/06/2003:
Car returned from a shunt in the rear into a car in front. (long story!!)
Had new front bumper, Rad & fan, grille, bonnet, boot lid and rear bumper, and whilst it was in had the mouldlings sprayed.
Insurance paid out as it wasn't my fault (was only 3rd party F&T back then) but the extra bits of spryaing cost me £120.
13/06/2003:
Clear crystal LED high level brake light: £30.00

31/07/2003:
New driver side mirror housing: £51.97 (thanks some t**t knocking it off outside my gaff!)
Had the door handles and mirror housings sprayed: £50.00

Phase 2 CC rear light clusters: £10.00 (yep 10 bucks, bargin lol)
Oct. 2006:
New passenger wing as guy at work reversed into it. Then found out when joining 206info that the bloody thing is a non-sport  Grrr!!
Then it was just servicing and tyres until the rear axle gave up the ghost.
By that time I had the New Beetle V5 sport edition as a show car so the Pug was left to rot I then got my C4 coupe as a run about and an Eos as the weekend car. Still leaving the poor pug just sitting there, alone!!
Then last year I thought of selling it and got so much interest that I felt sorry for it and didn't want to sell it but get back on the road.
So the revivial got under way!
So today it's had a nice wash, in the rain I might add, and a good drive into town and back.
Next I must do the Cambelt and water pump before it goes bang, leaving it sitting there for that long probably hasn't done it any favors 
Sorry for the huge post, but I know some peeps might be interested in it's history, I know I was reading through at the receipts, etc.
