power kicking in late?

206 1.4 glx dosent pick up speed properly goes ok but the rest of its power kicks in a bit late whats the cause? reckon i need to clean my throttle housing?any other ideas guys?thanks

yeah service if needed and clean every thing you can get your hands on, vacum pipes, cam flow pipes, etc.
