Hey guys, i have a feeling the gearbox exhaust mount has gone on my car as there's a distinct sound of the exhaust hitting the body coming from that area. Ive rang peugeot and they inform me that the whole part of the exhast that the mount is attached to will need to be replaced. Is this correct? Just wanted to check first before i spent much money!! Joni.

If the bracket has come off the exhaust it could be welded back on...but you are only delaying spending money replacing the rotten section it's fitted to.

Also don't go to the Peugeot dealer...they are possibly the most expensive place to buy such parts.
