Hi can anyone advise me please, today whilst driving my 206 HDI 05 reg the engine warning light came on and stayed on and on the display said Anti Pollution Fault, can anyone tell me what this means and if it's gonna cost loads to fix. I have also notice the car is a bit sluggish too.

Please help xx

It needs fault code reading to pin point the fault, otherwise you are just going to be wasting money on parts that might be fine.

Mine came up with this last year, when I took it for an MOT a month later... the cat was like a sieve so i had most of the exhaust replaced.... the fault light is still on now though because they didn't have a computer to reset it! I'm hoping that's the only reason its still on though! i recently had it Mot'd again and they didn't even mention it and it flew through the emissions with no trouble at all!
I am looking for a 1.4 diesel 206 and to sell my 2.0 xsi hdi!

The EML meaning a CAT or O2 sensor fault is a common myth, it could literally be 1000 faults.

The only time it will be brought up in a MOT is if you fail on the emissions, but you won't even be tested on them if you have a Diesel.

It needs code reading, and if the fault has been fixed, then they need clearing.

it could be anything from the anti pollution bottle needing topping up, to the fuel pump needs replacing (£1000 job)

good luck
