Hey,

Some of you may have noticed that I'm changing my anti roll bar drop links. I've had no problems taking it off the anti roll bar, but I haven't got any room to manoeuvre any tools to get it off the strut.

The nut is so rusted on the bolt, that when i turn the nut, the whole thing just turns in the ball joint.

I have used loads of plusgas hours in advance and it has still not budged. So i've used a nut breaker to get the nut off and that has just done nothing - other than make it impossible to undo the nut!

So I offer this proposition to anyone who lives in and around COVENTRY who owns or can get hold of an ANGLE GRINDER, who can come either today, or tomorrow and cut the drop link off.

I will give you £50 smackers doing this, and I'll probably kiss your feet.

If this is against forum rules then could a mod please let me know.

Thanks all,

Rob Smile

Even if I had a 'windy gun', there's no room to use it.

I have never used an angle grinder before, but have watched my mate use one (unfortunately he lives 350 miles away), I presume the major thing to be careful of is cutting through something else? (and of course health and safety!)

Pfffft. Helath and safety is for women. Just crack it on full speed and grind away at the nut. Wink Why not buy an angle grinder, see if you facy doing it, if not pay someone £30 to do it. Total cost - £45. Wink

Just bought a an angle grinder, suitable disc and tinted safety glasses for £22.
Tomorrow is the big day as its probably too dark to use an angle grinder for the first time right now.
Watch this space!

Cheers for all you guys' help! I'm really not worthy.
