i hit a pot hole today and now my steering is sqreeking,
not a constent sqreek but maybe 4-5 little chirps as i go from lock to lock??

Sounds pretty basic and could be purly coincidence but you checked your power steering reservoir that it has fluid in? Empty reservoir can cause squeaking/droning.
Could be a number of things though, steering rack, track rod ends etc, if you don't know what your looking at best get garage to look at it.
