Hi
I was driving in cold temperatures last week, and i tried to wash my windows, to which the screenwash came out, but the wipers moved half an inch up and stuck. Since then they have not moved at all. It's not a fuse issue i've checked twice ( i worried i may have overlooked first time Razz )
There is no sound or struggle on the wiper or wiper motor, it's purely immobile. There 'click' sound you hear when you push the stick for the wipers is still heard, but it is the only sound heard.

I havent drove my car since unless i've been sure it's a small journey and it wouldnt rain. I am sending to be looked at when Mr Wage Slip comes, but I'm worried of mechanics and overcharging.

Any ideas to try?

Thank You For Reading Smile

EDIT : It's a three dour 1.1 T-reg('99) 206 if anyone was wondering

Sounds like a relay in the wiper motor, you will be advised by the mechanic to replace your wiper motor. And yes! you will be over charged without a doubt unless he is decent

if its the relay then replace it,or try another one if it fits and see if it works.have you looked at the wiper linkage to see how it is,just incase it has came away.

usually when you hear the clicking of a relay it usually means it is working.

well a mechanic friend had a short look before his trip to work today.
There was no power being fed to the wipers apparently.
He hasn't a clue where the relay is in my 206, so he said he'd look again ASAP.

Thanks for the quick responses, I'll update my posts if when i learn more Smile

UPDATE:
Right sorry for delay, turns out eventually it may have been a fuse related problem. I dont understand this as before when i encountered a fuse problem, the relay itself wouldnt turn and the screenwash jets were't working. Anyways the problem itself got worse on the car before it got better as the person who looked at the car didn't put the Shunt fuse back in properly and the car wouldn't start. when i put it in correctly, the wipers came back to life! Thanks for all the help Very Happy
