Hi, just joined and iam planning to buy a 206 Gti within the next 2 weeks so if anybody has any kind of advice for what typical things/problems to look for when buying or owning one of these cars i would be very greatfull.. Thanks guys!

if you take the car for a test drive try an make a bit of time to feel if the beam is wearing out

only thing that went wrong on mine was top suspention mounts
when i floored it it bounced around and clicked on full lock
also slopy gearboxs can be worn linkages, the rear axil is a common problem too esp if its been lowerd and had a hard life
if you can jack it up or get in the boot and bonce it about
