I need a new rear axle for my 2003 206 HDI SW currently its got ABS drums, how hard is it to fit a rear axle with disc brakes? I've done it on a 106 before just needed the brake pipes bending abit bar that it was the same, another query is do i need one off a SW as they have the support bars or can i fit one off any ABS 206? what benifits do the bars have?

Cheers

Chris

You will also need to replace the handbreak cable.. Break fluid pipes... The axel should be pretty easy. Not sure if they are teh same across all 206 models. im sure someone(Lee) will tell you Smile

The SW axle is the same as the GTi180, with the thicker torsion bars, ARB and lateral links.

You can fit another axle from a different 206 if you aren't bothered about the handling as much.
