Have you tried replacing the left brake/tail bulb?
Could be a bad connection or crap on the circuit causing a short. I didn't know the brake lights were on a separate circuit to each other.

Left and third are on 1 and right is on another. (Fuse 20 & 21 if I remember right).

The right light is on a 10amp fuse
Left and 3rd are on 15amp fuse

I assume you've tested with a new fuse (15amp) and that keeps blowing?

Possibly bulb issue cutting that out. Hopefully not the 3rd, as its a bi**h to get into that (well is on mine)

Thanks for the info. I would have been pulling what little hair I have out if I had a bulb out and a new one didn't work. At least it doubles as a fail safe so you will always have at least one brake light.

Which is exactly what happened to me. £4.88 for a switch and fitted it in seconds. All that messing about with bulbs and fuses lol
