Hi all I've fitted some coilovers and the ride is terrible even over little bumps it feels/sounds like there isnt any suspension just the wheel hitting the floor at full pelt, Theve got new top mounts / bearings and also new drop links when fitted.

The helper springs were removed to begin with but i've refitted them and its abit better but not 100%

Think i might sell them and get springs / shocks

Anyone got any other ideas or are all coilovers like this on a 206?

Cheers

Chris

Thankyou for the reply indeed there new cheapo's off ebay who knows what make? (should of read up before buying them)

There lowered about 60-70mm?

Its just the worse noise ever when it hits a bump and it feels like the whole front ends not attached

my coilovers work like sweat Razz

==

back to your questions.

is probably because you drop your car too low. not enough travel for the spring and dampers-> bottom out.

in theroy you can drop 100mm or a bit more but none of those mid-range coilovers are design to handle that kind of drop.

Mine bangs and knocks now and again... but only since i've taken the helpers out and its all the way down Laughing

Mine are ebay budget jobbies and until i slammed it and it was 60mm(ish) it never made any noises they aren't always crap cause they're cheap

a lot of the cheap coilover kits have a tendency to go coil bound which is basically the spring fully compressing so you have no spring travel left. It could be this or the damper bottoming out..
