Hi guys,

Just bought my used 206 a few days ago and already have the dreaded air bag warning light.

Get tones just after starting engine and setting off. No warning message is displayed.

No side airbags and all cables under dash look secure, including passenger side.

Silly question now, but the driver's side rear lights are (were) full of water - the previous owner cleared em out but the corrosion is too much and they have bought new rear lights for me to fit when they arrive.

The question is - will the voltage difference by not currently having the driver side brake and indicator light hooked up cause a voltage difference to have the airbag warning light show?

Still got a good relationship with the seller, she doesn't want to have sold me a lemon and I don't want to have bought one.

Otherwise car is working fine, everything else works as expected. Just be nice to expect to know if I'm going to be going to the dealership after I fit my lights...

If I was you I'd contact her and let her know what's happened. Explain your not sure if the headlight may have caused it and when the replacement arrived you'll let her know. If it's still the same problem (which I think it will be) recontact her and ask her how she wants to proceed I.e fault reading etc. It's a delicate position as the Sales Of Goids Act doesn't apply to private sales so legally she doesn't need to help.

Thanks for the advice Smile

Also to mention - the car has had a DVD player at some point - the wires not remove correctly - obviously only noticed when I started poking around properly today.

Finger's crossed this is something simple, I'd hate to think it's a dodgy Comm unit, though for it to change in a few days is coincidental...
