Please advise. Problem started today. Driving off wasn't smooth, the car required more gas and shook/rattled, almost felt like driving a truck. When I press down the clutch, there a sound coming from the engine and I can feel vibration/friction (like metal scrapping on rubber) when pressing or releasing the clutch. This problem seems to mainly affect 1st and 2nd gear. Heeellllp

If you can feel vibration with your foot on the clutch is does sound very much like wear. You have to be careful not to let the friction plate wear too low otherwise things will become expensive - for example, synchros can start welding together... typically first and second - not wanting to frighten you!!
If the car was shaking when pulling off this is another indication that it isn't biting properly on the plate.
With limited info - best get it to a garage pronto.
And remember, don't skimp on the clutch - get the best you can afford. It will pay off in the long term.

Hey, thanks for the advice. On my way to the garage there was a burning smell and I think I saw smoke. Had to part from my darling 206! Dreading the cost now.

No problem - keep us posted as to the outcome... but maybe keep the cost to yourself
