hi,i recently fitted my standard sterero back in my 206 and since i re installed it my heater has stopped working,any ideas what it cud b?thanks

when you say not working, ya mean only cold air comes out, or no fan action at all

If it happened straight after fitting the stereo, I would guess you've disturbed some wiring in the dash.

Either:

You have knocked a wire when refitting the stereo ( very possible seeing where the blower lives )

Blown a fuse in either of the fuse boxe's ( there's 2, BSI in the cabin & the BM34 under the bonnet )

The blower motor has died

You damaged the BSI in someone / crashed part of the software / corrupted the configuration.

Remember it's a 206, the blower motor only works with the engine running Wink

very annoying. How hard would it be to change this?

Also there is a big plug under the glove box. try that mine has a bad connection and stops the heater from working.

PSA Peugeot / Citroen did this for a reason.

It drains the battery.

If the engine isnt running then no heat is being produced to heat the cabin.

On the older PSA stuff with the first generation climate control systems it was bloody annoying having the blower motor suddenly burst in to full speed as soon as the ignition was turned on, it really p**sed me off when I had the 406 Twisted Evil

There is NO point having a heater blower motor running unless the engine is.

does anyone no or have a fuse box diagram telling you what the difrent fuses do and where they go and what amp they should b thanks

I agree. For example, cars warmed up. You stop and turn off the engine. Windows steam up, instead of starting the car, you just use the motor. Simples.

i dont think leaving the engine running if we have anymore ice in the mornings b4 work.an the windows steam up without the blower
