Right so i need to replace it.. I think ive located it, any chance someone can confirm where it is to make sure.. Also it looks to be a b*****d to remove.. Any tips?

if its the one thats in all the plastic housing for the water on the end of the engine above the gear box then i think its just a clip that holds it in.

I had a look at the haynes manual... But i couldnt work out where it was saying..

Just looked on servcebox and it seems to be located in the thermostat/coolant housing on the right hand side of the cylinder head. Couple of diagrams showing location of it in both the plastic housing and also aluminium housing depending on which you have. Number 9 is the temp sensor.

if its the plastic type, number 11 is the clip that just slides out and the temp sensor pulls out after a wiggle as the clip just holds the sensor in against a rubber seal.
