To change the fuel filter
Remove the drain screw so that all the diesel from the filter is emptied [fit a new drain screw for the filter renewal]
Unclip the two pipes on the top, making sure you plug them with something like tissue to stop dirt entering the system
Unscrew the top of the fuel filter and remove the filter
Refitting is the reversal of removal
The fuel system does need to be bled when the fuel filter is changed.
You need to open the bleed screw a little
Turn the ignition on for about 5 seconds, then turn it off [repeat this process 3 or 4 times until diesel starts running out of the bleed screw]
Tighten up the bleed screw
Fuel system should now be primed
EDIT: Make sure you know which filter you have. It's is Bosch or Mahle. THEY AREN'T INTERCHANGEABLE
