edward: I think it makes a really good combo and sleeper too now were was that hdi badge aha....
gary: cheers mate! its been neglected for too long and since every thing is settled I think its about time I got on with it makes it look as good and want it to reflect well one both our efforts on it all being well it should do! are you still moving down cov btw mate? and just out of curiosity that carbon wrapped cam cover what happend to it? wouldnt mind one like that tbh mate.
craigdmjv: If you was ever in doubt about this conversion dont be! garys work is second to none and he really knows his stuff! as for insurance ive been on to a few places and the best ive had is just under £800 fully comp and im only 20 with two ync so in fairness that isnt bad its just the cost of juice which is the killer really because I have a unbalanced right foot lol.
simon_p: Thanks mate its starting to get were I want it at long last!
C+C as always and much welcomed!
many thanks, Nic

update: cracked on with yet some more tedious sanding (when will it end lol) had a little mess about making my badgeless front grill spent about 20 mins in which got fed up so carried on with the sanding after a hour and half decided to make some smoothed mirrors (pictures to follow) just to see what they would look like if I like them ill put them on the car if not they were only spares anyway and ill put the gti ones back on going to be sorting the engine bay out and get it looking tidier until I can do the respray then ill crack on with other bits like interior etc

cant really go much lower mate with out risking the sump you cant even fit a can of coke in the gap! as for splits there not my cup of tea really was thinking of maybe a semi smooth boot though still thinking really it should look good though
