i have a 206 1.9d and wnt remove egr value. been told there a kit but i cant find it. can anyone help please

You don't remove it, you don't need a "kit" you just unplug the blue connection at the back of the engine bay

The EGR recirculates the exhausts gases to reduce what comes out at the back. I dont know the in's & out's but the general idea is that it can improve acceleration & power. However, when I did it for a week, all I noticed was loads more smoke out the back, and performance gains I put down to the placebo effect

Yeah the EGR valve is mainly for emissions. It re circulates hot exhaust gases back in to the engine to be essentially re burnt. It can improve engine performance from cold as the gasses used are already warm when the engine is cold at fast idle. Blanking it off is normally the last resort for people having problems with them and not wanting to pay for a new one. There may be an increase of a bhp or 2 when warm, but you run the risk of having difficulties come MOT time when the emission are tested if the rest of your exhaust system isn't 100% up to scratch

Missed that his was a derv. I knew about it being just a smoke test on diesels because i did this on my old Ibiza FR Laughing Twisted Evil

 


Dont ever be told you cant just remove the back box and replace with a bit of pipe and a twin tip haha
