Hi,

Does anyone know why when driving the stop light will flash momentarily? It's almost too quick to even notice. No other lights come on the engine runs fine and I can car on my journey.

Today the other half was driving it and she thought it beeped just once momentarily. It was the same beep you get if you open a door with the engine running. Also as a note, no messages are displayed of the MFD when this happens and I've only seen it do it maybe 3 times in the eight months I've had the car.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

It could possibly be one of the car's sensors playing up as mine beeps when I go over a bump sometimes and the MFD says that the driver's door is open, even though it isn't actually open.
I have to open the door and close it to stop it beeping.
Sometimes it beeps for a short duration and other times it continues.

So yours is a bit hard to diagnose without information on the MFD.
When your car is stationary it's worth checking things like your brake fluid level, doors are closed properly, (check from the outside so you can see if they are ajar) as these could activate the stop light.
Whilst driving check your temperature isn't too high or oil pressure too low if you have a gauge.

Regards

Andy
