I couldn't tell you on a 206 as never worked on one. Most cars are static on the rear. With the laser they attach it to all four wheels anyway so it would all be checked

I just had a good look at my tyre and it is in fact worn on the inner side - the thread is actually coming through, gonna have to get them replaced ASAP. Would that be allignment to cuase it? I'm a bit puzzled as it passed MOT only a few weeks ago (and had allignment 2 mths ago) and this wear has done some considerable damage in that time. |
Possibly the suspension strut top bearing collapsed?

Could that be in any way related to having a new coil spring fitted or just coincidence?
Also, how does this affect the tyres for it to wear to the inside? If I do a 'bounce' test, will that be a good measure of the struts being knakcered?

A collapsed or incorrectly fitted top strut bearing could cause the suspension leg to lean inwards and cause the inside of the tyre to wear prematurley.

What is it supposed to be?
I was quite suprised that I had to pump my space saver up to 60 PSI!

What about the wishbone/suspension arm? Will that cause the tyre wear?

Had Tyres replaced yesterday - now have some very nice Hankook Ventus V12s after reading some very good reviews on them. Wheel allignment was way out, handling now seems much better. I'm still going to get the suspension checked out next week at a garage to be on the safe side.
