Washed waxed sealed lol the full works but after the 3 1/2 hours drive down there it might off been a wast of time.

Give the full works the day before, on axles stands etc wheels waxed inside and out.
Drive down, park it up and wack out the rapid detailer on it.
Or if you want to be really anal, buy a gimp mask or simply a couple of rolls of 3m masking tape and wrap up the whole front end so you don't get any bugs sitting on it. The latter is what I'll be doing on mine for the long drive down to front car show.

I would have thought washing you car and giving it all the waxing and polish before your drive would be better. My main reasoning would be you are adding a layer (be it small) of protection to your car and cleaning most of the crap off it also.
I wouldn't be doing all the clay bar stuff though as i don't have one and also not going but when finances and better i plan on joining you guys and gals, Hope you have a good time
