Unclip the earthing thing on the underside of the lighter, then it just pops out

push from the socket side hard, it should come to a point forward where you can unclip the light unit (if necassery, only when really stiff) and then split the reamaining sections apart from each other enough to wiggle it out, or apart completely (when light unit removed only).
