I have a problem. I started getting a strange noise this afternoon on my way home from work. It sounds like when you put those things on your spokes when you were a kid.
Any ideas?
It does it in neutral/coasting and goes when I put the gas down. It also appears to get louder and quicker the faster I go.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks Matt.

I can't find the vid i had must have deleted it,
Mine did noise just like yours and my case like said above was to do with gearbox, I was told it was diff side of the box at fault, but i changed full box.
I jacked up front end of car put it on stands, got under it while mate in a sense drove it by putting it in gear etc that's how I found out just were the noise was Comming from,

Yea it similar to a noise I had last year. I changed the box then, only for a 2nd hand one from a scrappy though.
So it would appear that one has failed aswell, in less than a year too.
Mechanic said it's a common fault and that the 206 gearbox is pretty s**t.
Unsure wether to get another 2nd hand one or get mine recon'd.
