Hi
My Peugeot 206 has an electic problem. Once the ignition is switched off it loses the power that supply the following
1. Radio all pre sets are lost
2. side lights work fine ignition on but not off
3. Central locking again fine ignition on but not off
4. Clock re sets to 00.00 once ignition off
5. engine maangement it seems that the ecu re sets itself and I have to wait about 5 seconds while it goes through a ritual before I can start the car. It then starts on eco mode

It almost seems that there is a powersupply to these items which keeps them powered up when the ignition is off but that it has stopped working. I have checked every fuse in the car both in the BSI and fuse box under the bonet they are ok. I have also changed the fuse box under the bonnet still faulty. This is in the too hard box for me now I was just hoping someone out there may have an idea of the problem or had it themselves and found a solution. Car still works fine it's a nuisance more than anything and mot may be a problem if they test the side lights with ignition off.

Check the battery connections are ok, check the main + connection in the BM34 fusebox isnt loose.

Check the battery has good voltage & the alternator is charging correctly..

Scan it with Peugeot Planet - update the BSI software

Hi
Battery is new and connections good. Alternator is good and charges as it should.
The local garage fitted diagnostic to the machine but it doesn't show any faults. All connections to the fuse box are clean and tight
If I knew that updating the BSI would be the answer I wouldn't have a problem getting software updated or BSI replaced it' sjust I'm reluctant to go down that route just to see if that is the problem as it's expensive. Still hoping somone else may have experienced this or know what the cause may be
thanks
Kevin
