my old set of dials broke the other day so i took a trip down the scrap yard and got another set for £15, the problem is the mileage was reading 88,000 and now on the new set its reading 134,000. i went to peugeot today and asked if they can set it back but they were no help what so ever!!! can anyone on here help me please?

ps asked peugeot the price for a brand new set of dials and they come back and said £399.99 :L

its abit stupid that the 206 stores it in the speedo, you could easly lower the milage of a car by just swapping over the speedo's

You need a brand new one that's set to 0 otherwise it adds up your own mileage to the second hand one you bought from te scrappy I think

if the mileage is stored on the dials, just buy another set of dials with 88000 miles on or less.

surely that would fix it?

I got a dig bick.
You that read wrong.
You read that wrong too.

Non plexed 206 like the OP's will ONLY display what is stored in the instrument cluster memory.

Peugeot main dealers DO NOT have the equipment to correct mileage readings.

Find a mileage correction company & get them to adjust it.

so on my 2006 (plexed), if i were to buy a set of lockwood dials already in a cluster taken from a 2005 (also plexed), i can just plug the lockwood cluster into mine and it will show the correct mileage?

You need to check first what the mileage is on the replacement cluster!

You need a replacement set of dials with a LOWER mileage!

Multiplexed & non plexed 206's work totally different on diaplaying mileage
