a few months ago my 206 started to make squeaking noises when driving on uneven surfaces. such as going through speed bumps or even when turning around a corner due to the shifting weight of the car. keep in mind that it only squeaks while moving and turning and not just turning the wheel when stationary. squeak comes from the front.
my obvious guess is that the bushes needs changing or perhaps the top mounts as confirmed by similar questions posted here just recently. however one major puzzle to me is that i noticed that the squeak is highly dependent on the climate and tempurature. only squeaks during hot to warm days and doesnt when its cold. also squeaks less or none when its raining and hot. doesnt matter as much when its cold and dry or humid.
so my question is whether bush wearing can be affected by the tempurature and climate? or is my problem something else? i drive a gti if it matters.
cheers
edit: forgot to say that it also makes a knocking noise when driving through really uneven roads. squeaks and knocks but it all dissapears when its cold. its coming to winter where i am so im thinking perhaps i dont have to change it so soon as it still handles fine. or should i?
Could b a number of things. Look at wishbones and droplinks. Also could be top mounts or top mount bearings. Don't throw cash at it, get it diagnosed properly
