hey, got my brakes done by my mechanic before going to glasgow, aparently the friction material was coming off the back of the pad, and the disks were shot. ah well, got them done asap as i had family stuff to get down for. but they cost something like 250-300 to get done.

BUT now im becoming more a fan of modding ect, but more recently i took pug for a country drive, and the road was only something like 6 miles long, did it each way and by the end the brakes were pretty much shot, aka....the smell was quite noticeable. Had this actually on the way down to glasgow as some f**ker decided hed change lane and slow blah blah and ended up my brakes were smelling nice and warm.

Either way, im looking into vented disk brakes. for performance wise, and safety wise, and to look good aswell. but wondering if its even possible to change from solid to vented disks.

What brands would you recommend, not something id particularly like to be using ebay for.

is this because of the size of the pads? because ive got hold of the 206 max power book. and they just use a clamp to increase the space for them.

i think u mean clamp as in moving piston in abit to replace pads ???
as new pads will be thicker than worn pads.
