Hi all,Iv got a 2000 2.0hdi d turbo and was wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem I have with the oil temperature gauge.
Basically when I turn the ignition on it does a double check(up to top and back down)but then just stays at 0 even after a two hour motorway journey.
It is due an oil change next week, though there is plenty in there.
TIA Lee

problem with the sensor which senses the oil temp? sounds as if the actual guage itself is working.

Sounds like you need to have a look at the oil level / temp probe screwed in to the back of the block.
Its a combined probe on this engine, try giving the connector plug a spray of electrical contact cleaner.
