Service: how good are you with a Ser of spanners and common sense?
Yet: having 3/4 people in the car usually slows acceleration down

They are only small motors really so any additional weight will always make you feel slower, as for the tyres sit near them and listen for any slow punctures, if 33psi isn't enough then something needs listening out for as thats the recommended pressure

Mines not slow. Infact for a 1.4 I think it's quite nippy.
I think you had 3/4 passengers could be a major factor lmao.
What size wheels you got?
32psi is correct. I know what you mean about them still looking abit low though.

I'm fine with mine it's enjoyable to drive, but with a car full you definately notice the difference
Stick to 33psi max, I once overinflated the rears to 35psi and felt it didn't brake as well when I went to drive off, so taken them back to 33

My 1.4 GLX is pretty nippy, its certainly faster then the official Peugeot figures.
Its all down to the way the car is looked after & driven

Mine is my first car. Had her for 3 years now. With 14" you should be ok. You will notice a difference in acceleration if you go any bigger.
I went from 14" nimrods to 16" nimrods and I noticed the car was much slower from the off.
