When in traffic temp just rises and rises, fan kicks in just before 100 but if anything makes the temp go up faster it doesn't work properly! :/ sounds like it's overworking too, don't know how loud the fan should be?

My fans quite loud but I've had a friend oil the bearings and it's not as bad now, still a bit embarrassing though Smile my fan kicks in when I'm sitting in traffic and the temp gets to just above 90. Think you might need a new thermostat mate, I'm sure someone else has a bit more knowledge on this than me though

probably end up doing this to mine , on testing , i can trip it on if i bridge the relay . . im just too thick to work out how to make it work from a switch.

yours sounds like the problem i have, the fan sounds like it kicks in but actually doesnt, it attempts to and you can hear it attempt, but shorts out.

what you need is to trace the correct relay, replace it, and replace the wiring that has probably coroded. that should sort it out.

Okay cheers mate, the fan doesn't seem to short out though it stays on and makes a loud noise it just doesn't seem to cool the engine the temperature still rises :/
