IS there a special tool required to removed the centre of your alloy wheel (the one with the peugeot bad on?) or is just something i can pull out? i tried pulling out but couldnt get a good grip

Yeah it's called a screwdriver
Don't take it off from the front may end up damaging the paint, always pop out from the back.

didnt think of trying, wouldnt that invole taking the wheel off the car?

try a flat head screwdriver in the gap but gently because you might crack the plastic of break one of the clips.

Try, it's much easier to take the wheel off and not risk breaking anything though.

Better off spending a little extra time taking the wheel off rather than risking scratching the wheel!
