Jack the front of the car up and you can just about get to it from the front without removing any. I'm betting its a corroded connector on the claxon as my old Pug had the same problem. I could get to it without removing any trim by getting underneath and undoing the bracket it's attached to. Soldering upside down is a nightmare though Laughing

You could fix it yourself very cheaply by prodding around and having a look

also the grill clips (hog ring clips) easily break and are cheap as chips on ebay, or even not that dear from a dealer, dw about that Smile even if you need a new grill they are cheap too.
Please Dont take any of my posts as written fact. They are simply my opinion and although to the best of my knowledge true, the information within them may well be incorrect.

Any work you undertake as a result of my posts is done so at your own risk Smile

What clips? the clips that broke on both the upper plastic and the gril are both part of the actual trim.

I realise it is probably a rusty connection, but the airbag light needs fixing and I knew it would end up at the garage for that anyway.

I hate jacking the pug up I find it impossible to get a good jacking point that doesnt result in something bending..!

OK, Peugeot reckon it need's a new horn AND a new comm2000! That last one was fitted by this dealer in July 2009 under warranty.. Fingers crossed it still gets done under warranty, but the warranty expires in 6 days... Either way it's gonna cost me a fortune! POS car!

I'd find a local independant that can help bud. Wouldn't trust a stealer.

Jacking wise - the subframe is never a bad place to use.

I assume the warranty company have authorised it as I haven't heard anything since I told the dealer to ring them. If I took it somewhere else, I'd be charged the diagnostic anyway, and if it does need the com2000 I'd be no better off.
