Must have been more than 6 months since I have been on here Shocked

Now this may be hard to explain so I hope it makes sense.

Is it possible that if your buy a stalk for your 206 you can activate the hidden cruise control (that is, if there is a 206 model that comes with cruise control)

I think it's possible but you need you an update from peugeot planet to activate it, thats what I've heard anyway

Heard it's way more effort than it's worth.. I'm sure someone got it working though.

I was just curious because when I was at work today, my work colleague and his mate both have the same make of car, just different spec. He said his mate bought just the stalk and fitted it (he knew how to) because what it was is his car was the lower spec which didnt have cruise control *BUT* it just needs to be activated

If it's plexed, I believe the sensors already exist. You just need the control stalk and BSI update.

Don't quote me on that though.

First thing is first you need to find out if your ECU has the capabilities, if not you need to get one of the eeproms recoded (cant remember which)

Then you need the red brake switch [4537 37], and plug the red harness into it.

The new stalk with CC

Run the ECu config and show cruise control as present
Then do the same for the BSI

And it should work at speeds of 30mph or faster.

This.

If you can't chance the ECU config from 'absent' to 'present' then it's a no-go from the offset, unless you can find an ECU from a 307 with the same injection cycle or as Lee said have the EEPROM recoded.

Wonder if you could take the bsi and ecu dump from a car with cc as standard and reupload it to your bsi and ecu :/

sounds too much involved if u ask me lol

my bora all i needed was the stalk with cc bits on it and the loom, bro in law works for vw so getting it turned on wasnt a problem

my landrover just needed some wire going into spare holes on the ecu plug and switches, electric window and heated seat switch worked for that and no need to get it turned on the ecu

2001 206 gti her car \r\n1990 landrover 90 soft top my show and shine 1994 defender 90 the offroader\r\n2011 transit 140/330 work van (the one that gets uses most)
