Alrite, Im just about to go book my car in for the timeing belt and a full service done. What im wondering is what sort of price should i be looking at? Its not getting done at Peugeot!
But a rough price range would help!

Wasn't someone quoted £600 a couple of weeks ago.
I think most of the time they are between £200 - £300 for the belt
Depends what you want out of the full service on the price, and then depends on what extra parts are needed during the service.
Different prices for different engines, but also different prices for the areas of the country.

My friends girlfriend was quoted around £600 for the timing + head gasket & Service to be done, which thinking about it doesn't seem too bad.

Some of these garages make me laugh.
To do the head gasket, the oil and water are going to get contaminated and need replaceing, so thats part of the service done. If the head is being cleaned up properly then the plugs should come out. You can't take the head off without taking the timing belt off the top pulley.
So in essence, you could be paying for some of the jobs twice unless you get a breakdown of each job indivually.
