hi i have just bought my 206 2.0l gti today and the previous owner has removed the cat (de-cat). now as im the new keeper i dont know what was fitted to it and needing to buy one off ebay etc as its mot is been done in next few days.
as i have mentioned above its a 2.0l gti date registered is 01/10/2000 and is the 3 door version thanks for any help in advance. Smile

i never found eby cat is good/ cheap.

go to the local exhuast place and they will sort that oout for you.

I take it the old owner never gave you the standard cat then?

I dunno how much a new cat is? I'm sure someone will know? I know you can get a Janspeed sports cat for the GTi delivered for £299.

100 quid aint too bad. a bargain for some rhodium, palladium and platinum Wink

I've heard the sports cats are very good, which is why I've ordered one. Each to their own though.

there isn't much catalsyt in the cat anyway and they aren't too expensive. i use them everyday Cool

or i should say they are very good for more tuned engine then stock engine Razz

well i have just bought a new cat for it this morning and asked the garage who is doing its mot later to fit it for me as i dont have much time as my partner is at work and got my son to look after

by the way its cost me £98.00 inc vat
