Just wondering. Once every blue moon, my dashboard lights up like a christmas tree.

It happened this morning. Coolant temp was at 80deg C, not overheating. I was just driving along at 30mph and everything lit up for about 5seconds then went back to normal. I roll up at work (about 5mins later) and throw a scantool on the OBD port and there are no codes whatsoever.

Is this normal?

I have replaced the earth strap from the gearbox to the chassis. And I service the car reasonably regularly (check fluids every other day).

Thanks,
Glen.

This happened to me when I first got the car, going round a bend - turns out I was running low on brake fluid. Worth a check?

Being the picky sort - I really hate it when people say this. Yes we all know what it looks like - but we all want to see the condition that yours is in!

Cool, will check brake fluid lunchtime. Maybe the pads are getting a bit thin too, changed them 18months ago. Thanks.

I'm expecting to hear that every light on the dashboard comes on, but I'll ask anyway.
Which lights are coming on?
If it's the stop light then there should be a code, if it's the brake light, check the fluid, battery light check alternator.
A brief description of which lights are showing up wiould help loads.

Brake fluid is fine. May just be another dodgy earth somewhere. It wasn't clattering the relays like it did when the gearbox earth strap broke, but hey ho.
