Having problems removing the manifold off the car and removing the cat of the manifold any advice thanks

You need small hands and long arms. It's a tight squeeze but can be done with the engine in place.
2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

How about putting a 4 to 1 though ? Isit possible putting it in without moving the engine ?

If it's longer than the original you'll struggle. Most go in with the subframe removed.

Tbh, you only have about 8 bolts or more holding the manifold

Ye I got the bolts out the manifold was away from the head just couldn't get it out

its easy undoing the bolts from the manifold but its trying to get the manifold out from the engine bay thats the hard part. Its to big to pull down from the engine where the exhaust goes, and withouht removing the top 2 engine mounts and tilting the engine forward you aint pulling it out from the top either Sad

It can come out if you move the coolant reservoir off its mounts too.
