52 plate 1.4 Hdi, the aircon had never worked since I got the car last September so thought I might see if I could get it sorted.
As Kwik-Fit do a no fix no pay deal and the local mechanics there are quite good I took the car to them on Sunday. I left the car there for an hour and when I returned the mechanic said that the aircon works when switched on then just stops working after a couple of minutes. They had evacuated the system and leak checked it then refilled with refrigerant. As it wasn't working properly there was no charge so off I drove. When I got home I switched the aircon on and could hear the relay click and noted a slight increase in engine revs and fairly quickly could feel cool air, so far so good but after a couple of minutes the air lost its cold feel.
Today I tried it again and nothing not even the sound of the relay click.
Anyone got any ideas?

Well this can be cause by one of the 2 things,or both of them:
1-The cooling gas pressure is not enough, because with time, and not useing the A/C for a long time, make the A/c system lose some of it's cooling gas,so you need to check it at a local garage, and they can add the required amount for your car,and it will be back to normal. :).
2-The Panel filter,it should be checked and changed every 10,000 Km,Or change it once a year or every summer, depends on the way you use your car.
Note:For the first cause, there is some kind of cooling gas, that is made in China, they work fine for a month or 2,then it Stagnate inside the pipes, and don't do it's job.
