Hello all, firstly i would like to start off with an appology if this is in the wrong section.
i am just curious as to whether all 206's came with alarm systems or not? if not what alarm systems have people fitted?
i dont think my 206 has an alarm system with it being a 2001 Y plate 1.4 LX, i could be wrong tho lol not tried it yet.
i was thinking about fitting an aftermarket alarm system to my 206, preferbly a clifford concept 650 MK2. Might be OTT but i like the amount of deterants this system offers!
anyways just wondering what your thoughts are lol
PS :- go easy on me! im new to the french scene!
thanks again
Rob

Had to get a clifford approved dealer to do mine because I needed the CAT 1 certificate.
Don't think they would be that hard to do though, as long as you have a wiring diagram

im all for alarms and deterrents but cant see the point in paying for a £400 alarm that will knock £30 off your insurance.
if insurance require one to be installed then fair enough.
Toad ai606 is another alarm that is supposed to be good if you going for cat1

My Golf has a Clifford alarm. Blurts at you with this really loud screaming beep every time someone walks past... Had to turn the sensitivity down because it was making even innocent passers by leave the floor

I turn the proximity sensors off at home, because the cat next door sets them off all the time

My 2001 y reg 1.1 lx also did not come with an alarm. Luckily I found a Peugeot texalarm system for sale on here, it came with all the instructions to wire it up but a auto electrician at work did it for me. Didn't make a difference with insurance if it was cat 1 or not

well, after speaking to someone i know i have now found someone who can come out to me and fit the alarm system.
i did choose the Avantguard 5.5 but due to some other circumstances i can no longer aquire that system, instead i will have to settle for the Clifford Concept 650 MK II but it will be built to the Avantguard 5.5 spec.
If any of you is wanting the Avantguard pack, i would suggest aquiring one now as Clifford has stopped making the Avantguard 5.5, and for most places to build the Concept 650 MK II to the Avantguard spec you will be looking at around £1000 mark if not more.
luckily for me, i have got the Concept 650 MK II built to Avantguard spec cheap.
HAPPY DAYS!
