Hi,

This week I started hearing a loud noise coming from the exhaust. I got it checked today, expecting a cheap fix.. but then they tell me the noise is coming from where the catalytic convertor connects to the exhaust, and that it needs a new cat. Apparently its a common problem on 206's??

I was wondering where the cheapest place is to get a type cat for my car?
My local garage are happy to fit it should I find the right CAT. Otherwise its a £300 fix Sad

Additionally can anyone recommend a place in Gloucester / Gloucestershire to fit a Bee Sting DAB aerial and ultrasonics?

Thanks,

Darren

I agree with Seabrook, the fact you have a diesel, just get the cat removed

The only thing it could potentially fail on is smoke, but if the engine is healthy then it will be fine, mine doesn't smoke at all compared to some HDi's I've seen with cats

I had my engine rebuilt last year due to the Turbo cracking. so I've got almost 100,000 on the clock, but a brand new engine. No smoke at all

Hmm, well maybe mine is in need of a remap then because I never notice any smoke out of my exhaust except when I start up on a cold morning

it is hard to see the smoke when you are the driver.

usually is the car behind who see the smoke Laughing
