So I took my new machine polisher to the car today...
I didn't do any harsh corrections because it's my first time and obviously I don't want to dive right in. I'm really happy, the car finally has it's gloss back and if I'm truthful the pictures don't do it justice.

Dead happy, one guy even asked me if I was selling it when I was polishing it. Very Happy

So here's what I did:
- Washed with Meguiars gold class shampoo
dried bla bla
- Clayed (first time!, not that much dirt actually!)
- Machine polished, Meguiars G220v2, Sonus SFX pads and Menzerna polishers
- Waxed with Meguiars NXT Wax 2.0 (thanks Brian ;))

Proud of my car again.

The only thing that lets it down is the dents in the door where careless idiots open their car doors on the car

Very good job considering it was your first time as well! How did you find the G220v2 to use? I've heard its heavy and pretty loud but from my understanding its much the same as the DAS6 PRO which is really nice to use.

It is pretty heavy, but it feels so well built and sturdy Smile It is kinda noisy as well (probably as loud as a hedge trimmer?), but idk how it compares to other polishers because like I say this is my first. I'm dead chuffed with it as a polisher and dead chuffed with the result too. It is easier to use than a few others I've tried; once I'm a bit more confident with it I'll look at doing a bit more correcting with it, I got rid of light swirls today (which were there when I bought the car) which is enough for me Very Happy

The guy asking if I was selling it just topped it all off.

Taa everyone and Howey I thought you did yours yourself?! ;p

Rob I was quite lucky, the paint wasn't all that bad, there's a few little scratches on the roof which looked pants (they went through to the base coat) but going over it with the polisher has rounded the edges off and they're not as noticeable now (check me with my technical lingo, thanks detailing world Wink ), you should give it a go rob and post here, sure the guys'll help you out.

Looks great, China blue always comes up well.

On another note, why are your rear wheels so far under the arch?

I think it might be the angle? They don't look under the arch outside o_O ... they're the wheels the car came off the line with too so idk

I really like the china blue 206s, and I love the fact I can drive it now feeling proud of the shine.

Haha! I'm yet to venture into machine polishing, all of my results are achieved by hand Wink
