never used it my self but was talking with a mate who runs a 500+ bhp R32 turbo lump in his mk2 golf and he recons its a bad thing he done a fair bit of research into it and desidied to forget it.
it would seem to give a small benifit if useing straight water (no anti freeze) but others have said it can block water ways and wreck waterpumps.
would water injection be a better option for you ??

just get some coolant from anywhere, they are all the same Laughing

normally is 1:1 water to glycol and 1~2% rust inhibitor; (normal car)

if you don't need to use the engine in winter (like negative degree, where water will frozen), run neat water+rust inhibitor, water has the best flowing property and heat capacity then most of the liquid, this is by far the best "coolant" at the moment.

water wetter base on redline info has Tripropylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, sodium Molybdate, tolyltriazole, polysiloxane

the first 2 is just normal present in normal coolant (where glycol is used) and sodium Molybdate, tolyltriazole are just normal rust inhibitor. Laughing

although they said 1-40% Tripropylene glycol and 1-40% dipropylene glycol are present in water wetter, by looking at it is should has less than 10% of each present. Laughing (looks quite thin)

if you wish i can run an analysis of them tmr to see what's the actually content of each compoent.

I used it in the S/C and it worked alright. I bought mine from Elise Parts.

it won't do any harm at all, as normal coolant got the same thing in there already Laughing

think i should start up a company to sell all those additive to fuel, coolant and oil. Laughing

Next time you see a decent water wetter, shake it and watch how quickly it dissipates the bubbles compared to coolant or just water, you'll see the difference.

Thanks guys.... I have an issue with the motor getting hot on the rollers. With the new H/C engine I think I need a little help keeping it cool.. May opt for a garden sprayer on the radiator Wink

Buy a new custom alloy radiator...they're thicker than standard so should in theory be more efficient.

They're also more expensive to replace if you have a bump.

Like your thinking mate but funds are limited for a week or so. I have had a quote from Graham Hathaway Racing. He will build me a custom radiator with built in P/S cooler which he guarantees will take a good frontal hit without breaking... cost

£450+vat

I would imagine anything like water wetter is simply fine tuning things. If there's a problem then something more drastic is required.

It's a bit like adding some oil additive in an attempt to fit a knackered engine...

Will it have built in fans? Have you considered Radtec? They make some decent stuff and already do short ones for the 205.
