I've just noticed a very strange problem on my 2002 206 1.4sw.
When driving during the day i've noticed when first setting off that the headlights seem to be switching themselves on. They will stay on for a while then switch themselves off.
The headlights behave normally when switched on via the switch it's just that they also come on when you don't want them on.
I'm thinking possibly a sticking relay any idea's on the above would be appreciated

Sounds like a faulty sensor on the windscreen for the auto lights. Saying that mine come on during the day. Just switch it off.

If it had autolights i wouldn't mind but this one doesn't i'm now thinking possibly comm2000!

Dipped headlamps will come on when the BSI unit has lost communication with a node on the CAN VAN system.

Not sure i like the sound of that. So what am i likely to be talking new comm2000 or worse?

Well i've finally got to the bottom of this problem thanks in part due to the fact that the indicators have started playing up as well. I noticed that the problem is remedied by turning the headlamp switch in the off direction slightly beyond their normal position. This immediately turns the headlights off and is therefore obviously the comm2000 at faulty.
Now need to get myself another comm2000. I've been quoted £60 from 247spares so my next question is what are they like to fit and are they coded to the bsi. I'm guessing probably not
