Hey people, one of my friends brought a Y reg 1.6 16 valve 206 its a nice little car..
BUT..
the gearbox has gone on it (its a hydraulic one) looking around they seem expensive
so i was wondering does any other gearbox (from another peugeot or citroen) bolt straight on
many thanks in advance Antony

You could fit one from a 1.4 1.6 8v and cable convert it but buy the time you did it you would be spending the same.
most newer citroen like c2,c3 c4 etc dont have the same linkage like yours they are cable like the 180

Most people scrap the cars once the gearbox has gone, whether you can afford a new car now, then strip/scrap it, to make some money back!
