I remember a few members on here saying they'd got hold of locking glovebox handles and going to Pug dealerships to have them change the lock barrel to match their keys.
I've got hold of one from a 180 and inquired at my local dealership (Robins & Day, Preston) to have the barrel changed to match my key and here's the reply I got:
''Peugeot only list the barrel for the glovebox as part of a full lockset (a single pack containing all locks and key blades, not remotes for the vehicle) costing £207.40 inc VAT, without fitting."
Seems a bit strange them saying this when other members have just had to pay for the single barrel to be changed.
Can any members who've had this done verify how much they spent to get this done and which dealerships in particular did it for them?

And they wonder why they are struggling... Might be a longshot but maybe you could try your local locksmith?

Part number 822496 GLV-BX LID LOCK £28.32
Ask them for that part and give them your key number for the specification.
If they still say they can't do it, Order it as a blank and take it to a reputable locksmith (Preston Locks on Tulketh Brow are OK) and ask them to file the barrel to your key spec.

You need the part number that macca1411 posted up & also the key cut number for your car which the dealer will find on the computer when he fills the lock order request form in.
Main dealer will also ask for proof of ownership ( V5C logbook ) for the car & your photo id as it is a lock you are ordering & they come with a free keyblade.
Locks made to original keys are specially made to order in France so expect a 2 week wait for it.
