Im the younger generation only being 21 though, my first year on a 1.1 saxo was £1500 2nd year was £1300 on a 206 gti 138 3rd year was £797 same car 4th year was £780 same car and at the end of the 4th year when i was still 20 i got a quote for my astra vxr which was £1400 which went down to £823 the day i turned 21 :)|

Not really, most insurers assume that the older you are the more responsible/mature you are so they reckon you will be a better driver.

I reckon if you got a quote on the same car for 19yo with 1 NCB and a 23yo with 1 years NCD the 23 year olds would be cheaper.

there's a lad on landyzone(not for those who can't take a bit of banter), he's 19 years old and just changed his freelander sport for a 2004 range rover hse........his insurance for the first year is just short of 5k ( more money than sense or rich parents)
