Having stupid amount of problems, getting frustrated probably isn't helping.

Need some advice from those who know.

Bought my 180 with an aftermarket air filter and the previous owner had literally removed ALL tubing that's to do with the standard filter system, including the air pump.

So. I bought the below, all tubing and filter and air pump. Perfect.

However I'm having trouble trying to fit it all! Not alot of space in the engine bay!

Anyone know where the air pump actually goes? It's got s bracket on the side of it, so it definitely bolts somewhere. I got a feeling it's in behind the passenger wing maybe? I ran out of daylight..

This is my current engine bay, and I just want the standard filter

Right i removed the inner plastic arch, and I think I've found the plug/wires for the air pump, but the previous owner has broken it!!

This is the air pump plug below..

NOW WHAT?! cut the air pump plug and guess to which wires connect to which?

Those two pegs on the side of the plug are probably used for a locking mechanism, the same type as the relay under the ECU and on the ABS pump.

You can always get rid of the standard plug and add a superseal type. A lot of automotive plugs use them.

Those two terminals looks like they will slot straight into one. They are about £5 from EBay or try Polevolt or AutoElectricalsupplies.

Thanks for the reply Edward.

Things are getting desperate, so I cut the plug off, I need this all wired up and working within an hour or so to be honest!

So I'm going to guess which wire connects to which! I guess the worst thing that can happen is a fuse will blow?

Anybody know what fuse I should check or replace if it blows?

All working now!

I guessed the wiring and got it first time Smile

Finally, a normal intake system with no engine management light on!
