hi i have a s reg 1.4 206 and for the past few weeks it has had trouble starting. when i turn the key the engine ticks over but does not seem to spring in to life so i have to keep trying eventually it wil spark to life but then i have to put my foot to the floor on the throttle or other wise it doesnt idle at enough revs.once its got going for a few seconds it fine and it drives ok.and if i get out turn it off then start it 5 to 10 mins later it starts up fine. anyone with any ideas i would be very great full as i dont have the money to take it to a garage and have them look at it for me ! cheers in advance

Have you checked oil, spark plugs etc.?

Yeah what Lee said. Remove the ICV and clean the cone shaped plunger and the hole it fits into, use a cotton bud with a little WD40 sprayed on it.
An Ex '03 1.4 GLX driver, German technology all the way now.
